In addition to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) prescribed measures, we use certain non-GAAP measures we believe provide useful information to investors regarding our financial condition and result of operations. Readers are cautioned that non-GAAP measures, such as earnings and revenue excluding Corporate Support and results excluding the loss related to the sale of RBC Jamaica as previously announced on January 29, 2014 and provisions related to post-employment benefits and restructuring charges in the Caribbean do not have any standardized meanings prescribed by GAAP, and therefore are unlikely to be comparable to similar measures disclosed by other financial institutions.
